AlternaForte is a soy phytochemical composition with added Black cohosh specially developed by Danor for the prevention and amelioration of severe problems associated with menopausal syndromes, osteoporosis and other maladies as a natural alternative to Hormone (Estrogen) Replacement Therapy (HRT).

AlternaForte is specially designed product formulated to help the difficult unpleasant symptoms occurring in severe cases of hot flashes.

Each AlternaForte capsule contain soy phytochemicals extract that provide 25 mg of soy isoflavones, plant food material that act naturally both as estrogens and estrogen antagonists.

AlternaForte capsule also contain 60 mg of Black Cohosh (Cimicifuga racemosa) that give extra added protection against menopausal problems occurring in severe cases of hot flashes.

AlternaForte in contrast to most "isoflavones" and "phytoestrogens" pills or tablets available in the market place is composed not only of a desired amount of isoflavones but contains all the other highly beneficial phytochemicals of the soybean as well as effective amount of Black Cohosh.

AlternaForte is in essence a natural food product made from an aqueous alcoholic extract of the soybean as well as Black Cohosh. This soy extract is a natural and very highly concentrated extract of all the soy phytochemicals in the same form and quality as present in the original soybean with the exception that it does not contain the soy storage proteins, oil and fiber.

AlternaForte comprises of soy constituents that are considered extremely beneficial for the maintenance of good health and of Black Cohosh. Black cohosh is a safe and effective alternative to estrogen showing good therapeutic efficacy for menopausal symptoms (e.g., hot flashes, profuse sweating, sleep disturbances, depressive moods) and tolerability profiles.

AlternaForte also contains soy sugars, of which about half are the Bifidobacteria growth promoting oligosugars: stachyose and raffinose. These oligosugars serve as carrier of the above mentioned soy phytochemical constituents.

AlternaForte components are very useful to prevent and aid menopausal syndromes especially severe hot flashes, osteoporosis, hip fractures, breast, colon, lung, and other divers types of carcinogenesis, heart diseases, etc.

AlternaForte components carry antioxidants that have cholesterol-lowering effects and boost the immune system. The benign effects of the combining constituents of the phytochemicals for the prevention and amelioration of various diverse pathological conditions are well documented in the literature.

The soy phytochemicals - Saponins, Bowman-Birk trypsin and chymotrypsin inhibitor (BBI), phytates and phenolic acids constituents of AlternaForte are considered as having a prime responsibility for the anticancer properties alongside with the isoflavones. The combined soy phytochemicals in AlternaForte have apparently a very favorable synergetic effect, acting as estrogen antagonists and as anti-androgens, reducing the proliferation of cells and having anti-oxidant, anti-microbial, anti-fungus and anti-viral activities. The soy phytochemicals are apparently able to block inflammatory responses, act as signal interceptor and thus able to meliorate conditions resulting from aberrations in signaling pathways. Phytoestrogens are compounds from vegetal sources, similar in their biological activity to estrogen. One of the main groups of phytoestrogens is the soy isoflavones group, containing Genistein and Daidzein, which can be found mostly in soy and its products. Black Cohosh contains different isoflavones that act extremely well synergistically with the soy phytoestrogens to prevent extreme phenomenon of hot flashes. In European phytotherapy, it is commonly prescribed as an effective alternative to hormone replacement therapy for menopausal syndromes. documented in the literature.
